Shortfin mako

The shortfin mako is a fast, pelagic lamnid shark with a pointed snout and streamlined body. It is found widely in offshore temperate and tropical waters.
Human interaction records can include offshore fishing and boating contexts that differ from ordinary beach exposure. Activity and incident classification should therefore be shown prominently on any mako-associated record.
